Care@Midstream is a self-contained independent nursing facility that specializes in sub-acute care and rehabilitation. Our goal is to help our patients achieve their highest level of independence as quickly as possible.

Our multi-professional team consists of general practitioners, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, dietitians, a social worker and a psychologist. Together they follow an interdisciplinary approach to ensure that all our patients receive high quality, comprehensive care.

Patients admitted to Care@Midstream should be stable and should not require highly technical treatment or surgery. The scope of medical care will typically cover post-operative, restorative and medical transitional, chronic or long term care patients.

Most medical aids pay for admission to a sub-acute facility subject to pre-authorisation. Sub-acute facilities are licenced by the department of health and have to obtain a practice number from BHF for medical aid acceptance.
